SolarFuture To Install Solar Energy Systems For StorHub Hong Kong

There has been a rise in the use of renewable energy around the world with renewables making up almost 30 percent of global electricity generation. StorHub Hong Kong has hence jumped on the bandwagon by working together with SolarFuture to install a green and renewable solar energy system, aiming to reduce carbon emissions and air pollution. Having solar panels installed at StorHub facilities helps to protect the environment that we live in while helping to ensure green energy continues to become more widely used locally.

SolarFuture has done a suitability evaluation of StorHub Chai Wan rooftops and its ability to host a Solar PV system. Since the rooftops of StorHub Chai Wan can host a 71.4 KW Solar PV system, 203 Solar PV Panels have been installed.

Solar energy systems provide a sustainable and clean source of electricity that does not cause pollution during the production of electricity and thus reduces greenhouse gas emissions (GHG) by replacing electricity generation provided by traditional coal and gas fired electric power stations. The use of the Solar PV system at the StorHub Chai Wan facility will reduce greenhouse gas emissions (GHG) emissions by 45,192 KG annually.
